Mamta Mohandas in Geetanjali?

The actress is rumoured to team up with Mohanlal in the Priyadarshan film
Ever since news was out that Priyadarshan will be teaming up with Mohanlal in Geethanjali, many names have been doing the rounds regarding who his heroine in the film would be.
While it has been confirmed that yesteryear actress Menaka and film producer Suresh Kumar’s daughter Keerthi would debut as one of the leading ladies in the film with a dual-heroine plot, the latest name doing the rounds with regard to the film’s cast is that of Mamta Mohandas.
A source tells us, “While it is true that Keerthi will play one of the heroines in the film, she’s not paired opposite Mohanlal. Now the hunt is on for his heroine. While there have been many names, including those of Lakshmi Rai, Sobhana and even Vidya Balan doing the rounds, the latest, we hear, is that Mamta Mohandas has been approached for the role. The last time Mamta and Lal worked together was in Ladies and Gentleman. Although the duo weren’t a pair in the film, they’ve always had a great onscreen chemistry.”
However, when contacted, Mamta tells us, “Just another rumour. I’m not part of the Geetanjali cast.”
